CASE STUDY • BIOMETRIC ROADSHOW

Kwik Trip: a 10,000+ employee, five-state biometric roadshow

Kwik Trip, headquartered in La Crosse, needed reliable annual biometric screenings and vaccinations for a large, distributed workforce spread across five to six states — the kind of logistics that break most regional vendors. Viaro's clinical team runs it as a traveling roadshow, handling scheduling, staffing, and results end to end so Kwik Trip's HR team doesn't have to coordinate a single vendor call.

The event is deliberately timed to the company's festive end-of-year gatherings, which keeps participation high and turns what could feel like a clinical setting into something employees actually look forward to. Kwik Trip has returned every year since starting with Viaro, at transparent per-person pricing agreed before the event, not after.

CASE STUDY • HEALTH-PLAN PARTNERSHIP

La Crosse Technology: claims way down

La Crosse Technology — a La Crosse-based wholesaler of consumer electronics like weather stations and clocks, shipping to major retailers nationwide — already offered a traditional health plan, but employees were skipping care until problems became expensive, and CEO Calway McCormick found the plan itself hard to explain: deductibles, HSAs, and HRAs that "went over a lot of people's heads." Rather than replace their existing insurance, the company layered a Viaro membership on top of it through their plan administrator, Self-Fund Health: employees now get everyday primary care, behavioral health, and physical therapy at no cost at the door, while their traditional plan stays in place for the bigger stuff.

Five months in, adoption is running above average and, in McCormick's words, "our claims are way down this year, which is great." The pitch to employees is now one sentence instead of a benefits seminar: if it's not an emergency, Viaro doesn't cost you anything. He sees the bigger payoff as preventive — catching one serious condition early, he says, before it becomes "a $500,000 operation," would cover the cost of the whole partnership on its own.

CASE STUDY • SMALL BUSINESS

Smith's Bike Shop: finally, something they could offer

Smith's Bike Shop is two blocks from Viaro's clinic — five full-time employees, plus a handful of part-time staff. For ten years, owner Randi Serres bounced between offering traditional health insurance and dropping it: for a couple of years it was affordable, then it wasn't, and once she did offer it, employees were locked into that plan even if they could find something cheaper on their own. It became, in her words, "the worst."

Smith's became Viaro's first small-business member. What sold her wasn't a pitch — it was a spreadsheet: Viaro gave her every covered CPT code up front, so she knew exactly was included before she signed anything. She and her husband have since used the membership themselves too, including same-day urgent care when her daughter fell at the playground. When she needed a dermatology appointment elsewhere in La Crosse recently, the next opening was November 2027 — through Viaro, she's used to getting seen the same week, sometimes the same day. Renewals happen over email, on her schedule, with no surprise fees tacked on.
